Nascar – 2011 Season Coming to an End

Homestead. As a race fan, we have gotten everything we can ask for in the Chase for the Sprint Cup. Some nine weeks ago we had to wait an extra day because of rain for race one in NASCAR’s version of the playoffs. Tony Stewart took the checkered flag on Monday, and here we are waiting for the days to click away to the final race of the season.

We go back so many months ago to Trevor Bayne winning the Daytona 500. Who would have known that first week of the season that we would have seen what we have seen this season? A little bit of everything has occurred as the weeks trudged along and the seasons changed. An upset at Darlington, Dale Earnhardt Jr. running out of gas at Charlotte, and Kyle Busch being parked at Texas. We have seen the end of Jimmie Johnson’s reign as champion. In the end, we have one race left to settle it all between Stewart and Carl Edwards.

I am excited about the race on Sunday and cannot wait to see how it plays out. Remember at Texas it was Stewart winning with Edwards finishing second. Last weekend it was Edwards second and Stewart third. Tune in Sunday to see what happens.

Tomorrow I will post what I think will happen this weekend. One more go around this year to hear the engines roar. Hard to believe the season is on the doorstep to being over already.
