What a finish in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Texas Motor Speedway tonight. Johnny Sauter gives up the win on the final restart of the race with two laps to go by jumping to the low side before the start finish line. Sauter is given the black flag for the illegal move, and Ron Hornaday is the race winner.

The race at Texas tonight featured a record number of lead changes and cautions. The race was competitive from the beginning with Austin Dillon leading at the beginning of the race until he encountered trouble. Dillon would end up being involved in a second wreck that ended his comeback chances in the race.

Texas Motor Speedway always produces good racing for all the series that race on the track. There was a lot of good racing throughout the pack tonight. I cannot wait until Saturday night to see the IZOD IndyCar Series run on the track.

I do have a bone to pick with SPEED TV tonight. SPEED provided terrible coverage over the first third of the race. The coverage focused on Dillon running by himself out in front of the pack. The commentators discussed racing back in the pack without the coverage switching to those battles. SPEED also missed a restart, and went to commercial on a caution when the leaders pitted. The last portions of the race featured regular coverage that we expect t in a race. My thoughts, get a new producer in the broadcast truck when the series gets back underway in Kentucky in July.

Again, looking forward to Saturday night’s race, have a good one.
