Caution flags were flying like candy tonight in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race tonight at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. A total of 10 cautions slowed the 134 lap race, and made the race feel like it was crawling along at times.
Kyle Busch bested all the drivers who participated in tonight’s race by making a pass of Clint Bowyer with just seven laps to go. When Busch took the lead, they were the first laps of the race he lead in the race.
The other big story of the race was the debut of Kimi Raikkonen in the Series. The Formula 1 star made his first NASCAR start tonight and brought his truck home in a top 15 position.
The race was entertaining, especially if you followed it on Twitter. If you have a Twitter account, there are some amazing people to follow along and interact with during the race. I have to say it is like going to the track with your friends. Everyone sees something a little different on the broadcast, and brings their own insights and opinions. If you do not have a Twitter account, sign up and check it out. Even if you never tweet, follow along for the fun. Especially our twitter feed @troublinturntwo .
Truck race is over for the weekend, but we are just getting warmed up. All Star race for the Sprint Cup Series tomorrow, and Pole Day for the Indy 500. Lots of action to come, and I am looking forward to all of it!
